Disability inclusion remains a key pillar in building a just and compassionate society. As the world marks World Disability Day ON 3RD December 2025, organizations supporting initiatives to embrace disability including Optiven Foundation, continue to shine a light on what true empowerment looks like. The 2025 theme is "Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress." Through the Optiven Foundation, the organization has remained a champion for vulnerable groups, especially persons living with disabilities. This has been brought to the light by the Optiven Foundation which has consistently invested in initiatives that restore dignity, mobility and hope.

Ann Nyaga, the Cordinator at the Optiven Foundation says, “as we celebrate World Disability Day, Optiven reminds us that true impact is measured not in words but in changed lives.” Her sentiments are echoed by the Chairman and Founder of the Optiven Foundation, Dr. George Wachiuri who says, “the foundation has been able to provide brand new wheelchairs for persons living with disabilities across the counties – from Kisumu to Kilifi and in between. We have been able to do this because of the partners we have and I invite organizations, Kenyans of goodwill and the business community to join hands in supporting persons with disabilities because together we can build a society where everyone belongs.”
