The biggest advantage of having a mentor is they’ve already achieved something you are pursuing which means they have gone through the struggle you are facing right now or are about to face. They made mistakes and found the best solutions in the process.

A good mentor is straightforward and can provide you with unbiased advice. They would not put your personal feelings above facts which is incredibly valuable.
